Md. Man Accused Of Kidnapping Son In 1996 May Be In Ohio
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- The FBI says a man suspected of kidnapping his 3-year-old son in Prince George's County in 1996 may be in Ohio.
Agents say they recently obtained information about 57-year-old Reuben Bennett Blackwell II. Blackwell is wanted in Maryland for kidnapping Reuben Bennett Blackwell III. The younger Blackwell, age 21, may go by the name Bennett.
Authorities say the elder Blackwell is wanted for obstruction of the lawful exercise of parental custody held by the younger Blackwell's mother. The FBI says Blackwell threatened to kill his son at the time of the abduction.
