Maryland Weather: Wind Advisory Expires, Some Damage, Outages Reported
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A wind advisory was issued for parts of Maryland Monday morning. At 2 p.m., the advisory expired, but not without causing some damage and power outages.
A tent collapsed on the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium around 11:10 a.m. One person sustained minor injuries and horses who were under the tent at the time had to be rescued.
More than 14,000 were without power as of noon, according to BGE.
A tree also fell on an apartment building in Germantown, causing some damage but no injuries.

The wind advisory was in effect from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Anne Arundel, Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, St. Marys and Washington counties and Baltimore City. Advisories ended in Caroline, Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties at 3 p.m. and Garrett County at 1 p.m.
Northwest winds of 25 mph to 35 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph were expected.
