Maryland Weather: Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Issued In Region Friday Evening
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Carrol and Frederick Counties until 7:45 p.m, and for Calvert County until 7:15 p.m.
Calvert, Charles, Prince George's, St. Mary's, Harford and Cecil counties were under Severe Thunderstorm Watches until 7:00 p.m.
The NWS said the main hazard is wind gusts that could reach up to 60 miles per hour, enough to cause trees and large branches to fall. No major damage was reported Friday night.

An areal flood warning were in place for Calvert, Charles and Prince George's counties until 11 p.m.
