Maryland Weather: Warm & Sunny Friday, Alert Day On Saturday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- As predicted, the clouds have cleared out and let the sun shine through Thursday.

We got off to a cloudy and rainy start, but the skies are now clear and we're seeing temperatures in the upper 70s.

It will likely get even warmer outside with a forecast afternoon high of roughly 84 degrees.

Heading into the evening hours, our skies will remain clear and we'll cool down to a low near 62 degrees.

On Friday, we've got some serious heat and humidity in store with temperatures climbing into the 90s.

While it will be quite hot and humid, we do have a chance for a passing afternoon or evening shower.

That warming trend will continue on Saturday when we're looking at an afternoon high in the upper 90s.

It will feel a lot more like triple-digit temperatures outside, so we've declared Saturday an Alert Day.

Though we will get some clouds, you'll want to stay hydrated and find some shade, especially at the Preakness Stakes.

Sunday will give us more of the same with temperatures in the 90s, albeit with a chance for an afternoon storm.
