Maryland Weather: Bright and pleasant

First Alert Meteorologist Meg McNamara Has Your Monday Morning Forecast

BALTIMORE -- We are kicking off the work week with a stunner of a day.

Solid sunshine and highs in the mid 80s will hopefully help you ease into your Monday.

We're looking at a lovely day with temperatures climbing up to 84, but it'll feel warmer.

Tomorrow, however, is shaping up to be a different story.

Tuesday starts off sunny with temperatures soaring into the low 90s.

Humidity will be back in action and that means it will feel more like the mid to upper 90s.

That will set the stage for an active second half of the day.

A cold front arrives Tuesday afternoon and that brings us a chance for thunderstorms into the evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has Baltimore and places north and west under a slight risk of severe storms.

That's a level 2 out of 5 on the scale, meaning scattered severe storms are possible.

The main threat is damaging wind gusts.

There is a chance for a few more showers on Wednesday, but sunshine returns Thursday and Friday.
