Maryland Weather: Bitter Cold Gives Way To Plenty Of Sunshine

BALTIMORE, MD (WJZ) -- Saturday's weather is now far back in the rearview mirror and Sunday fun-day is on.

It will be a bright sunny day.

And all that sun reflecting off the snow on non-paved surfaces will everyone reaching for their sunglasses.

And all that sun is a good thing because it will make Sunday's low-mid 40s at best at least feel better.

Saturday's winds may be gone but a breezy day is on tap.

Make no mistake about it though, as anyone can see, this is going to be a day with temperatures well below the average of 54 degrees.

But then comes a big turnaround, a "weather whiplash" so to speak.

BANG, just like that Maryland will roar into the 60s and there will be many days within or above 70 degrees.

Keep in mind that the average high is in the mid-50s and the average is in the mid-30s.

Day and nightside the forecast temperatures for these last days of winter are even more spring-like than the first week of spring, by the numbers,  should be.

Spring arrives next Sunday morning around 5:30-ish a.m. But if Mother Nature wants to rush things, in this case, all the better for Marylanders.

Enjoy this day, and do not let the "Monday scaries" get in the way. Be safe and find yourself some fun!
