Baltimore County father accused of killing son, injuring 3 others expected to appear in court Thursd

BALTIMORE -- A Baltimore County father who was arrested and charged with fatally shooting his son and injuring two other people on Christmas Eve had his court appearance postponed on Thursday for the fourth time.

Mark Jones, 30, who was hospitalized with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, is facing charges in the shooting death of his 4-year-old son Jacobi Jones, and injuring a woman and their 1-year-old daughter, according to police.

Baltimore County police responded to a home in Rosedale for a domestic-related shooting on Christmas Eve. Once on the scene, officers found a woman and two minors suffering from gunshot wounds.

The 4-year-old boy died at a hospital, according to officers.

Jones was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 29.
