Married Couple, 2 Sons, Charged With Drug Manufacturing

HUGHESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office has charged a married couple, their two adult sons with manufacturing a derivative form of marijuana.

On Dec. 18, deputies raided a home in Hughesville, the department said in a news release on Tuesday. Authorities say law enforcers seized 225 grams of processed butane hash oil; four pounds of marijuana; more than 100 hits of LSD, and heroin, cocaine and Ketamine.

Deputies also seized drug production equipment. Officials say the manufacture of butane hash oil can lead to explosions and fires.

Arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance were 52-year-old Michael Edward Stewart, his wife, 45-year-old Mary Posey Stewart, and their sons, 24-year-old Michael Allan Stewart and 20-year-old Kevin Bruce Stewart.
