Man Who Died In Salisbury Fire Is Identified
SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Authorities have identified a man who was killed in a fire at his Salisbury home.
The State Fire Marshal's Office identified the man Saturday as 65-year-old Charles Wintermoyer, according to The Daily Times of Salisbury.
Deputy state fire marshal Kirby Travers says Wintermoyer died of smoke inhalation. He says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Wintermoyer was alone in the split-level home when the fire broke out Friday afternoon. He was on the upper level in a living room, and Travers says the fire is believed to have started in a stairwell adjacent to that room.
A dog also died in the fire.
