Man Succumbs To Injuries After Motorcycle-SUV Crash In Ellicott City

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ)—A 20-year-old Elkridge man has died from injuries sustained when his motorcycle collided with a SUV over the weekend.

Patrick James Moynihan was pronounced dead on Sunday at 4:42 p.m. at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Moynihan's 2008 Honda CBR 600RR motorcycle collided with a 2014 Ford Escape around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Triadelphia Road and Walt Ann Drive.

Preliminary investigation and witness accounts revealed the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and crossed the double yellow center line just prior to the collision.

The driver of the SUV, Allison Jeanette Walsh, 42, of Fox Meadow Lane in West Friendship, was not injured and remained at the scene.

Triadelphia Road between Hunt Ridge and Walt Ann Drive was closed for approximately two and a half hours for the investigation.
