Man Killed In Annapolis Boating Accident

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)—An Annapolis man was killed on Sunday night after the boat he was riding in a struck a jetty.

The Maryland Natural Resources Police says 49-year-old Paul Dettor was aboard a 20-foot Boston Whaler with two other men when their boat struck a jetty at the entrance of Whitehall Creek around 11:00 p.m.

Dettor was flown to Shock Trauma where he was pronounced dead.

The two other men on the boat were treated for minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.

This is Maryland's eighth boating in fatality of 2016.
