Man injured in shooting near Catonsville shopping center

BALTIMORE -- A man was shot Monday night in Catonsville, Baltimore County Police said. 

Officers responded shortly before 11 p.m. to a shopping center on the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike, where they found a 26-year-old man shot in the upper body. 

The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury, police said. 

The shooting happened outside, a police spokesperson said. Investigators believe the shooting was "targeted."
