Man In Custody After Tipping Over Gas Cans At Baltimore's World Trade Center

BALTIMORE (WJZ)— A 58-year-old man is in custody after tipping over multiple cans of gasoline at Baltimore's World Trade Center.

It happened just at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Maryland Transportation Authority Police and Baltimore City firefighters responded to the scene at 401 E. Pratt Street at the Inner Harbor.

Police say the person in custody did not bring the tanks to the building; the gasoline cans were already in the building and are used for backup generators.

Smoke detectors went off  after detecting oil vapors, but there was never a fire.

There were no injuries reported.
