Man Convicted In Prince George's County Of 2 Murders

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A man has been found guilty in Prince George's County of two counts of first-degree murder and faces a sentence of life without parole.

The jury returned its verdict Wednesday against Brian Mayhew, finding him guilty in the May 2011 robbery and slayings of two men at a construction site in Seat Pleasant.

The men were found dead in a car, and prosecutors say Mayhew and another man planned to light the vehicle on fire to cover up the killings but didn't have a match or a lighter.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in March.

Prosecutors also argued at trial that Mayhew ordered the killing of his uncle, Nicoh Mayhew, who was prepared to testify against him.
