Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Woodlawn Shooting
WOODLAWN, Md. (WJZ)--A Baltimore County man is facing attempted murder charges following a shooting incident over the weekend.
It happened around 5 am on Saturday, near the Knights Inn located in the 6700 block of Security Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they found a 32-year-old man suffering from a single gun shot.
According to police, the victim was standing in front of the Knights Inn with a friend when he was approached by the suspect, Clayton Thomas Jr., who opened fire.
The victim, who was shot once in the upper body, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and later released.
Thomas is facing charges of attempted first-degree, first degree assault and other related charges.
His motives are still unclear but police do not believe that the two men knew each other.
Baltimore County Police is currently investigating this incident.
