Man Charged With Animal Cruelty After Cat Found With Extensive Burns
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After a severely burned cat was found in a Millersville home June 30, a man has been charged with animal cruelty.
Animal Control responded to assist police with an injured cat found inside a home at the 8300 block of Hope Point Court around 1 a.m.
The cat, dubbed Charlie, was transported to the Anne Arundel County Emergency Veterinary Hospital because he had sustained burns over a large portion of his body. He was stabilized overnight and transported to Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital for long term treatment.
According to veterinary documents, Charlie was burned about ten days to two weeks prior to him being found in the home.
Charlie is expected to fully recover but he will have a long road ahead and will need extensive treatments.

Charlie is not currently available for adoption but Anne Arundel County and Waugh Chapel have hopes for a full recovery and for him to be adopted in to a loving new home.
