Loyola Defeats Navy In OT 63-57

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Dylon Cormier scored 20 points, including 12 of 12 from the free-throw line and Loyola (Md.) made its Patriot League debut Thursday night by defeating Navy in overtime 63-57.

Denzel Brito hit a 3-pointer with 38 seconds left in overtime to put the Greyhounds up five. It was his first 3-pointer since Dec. 2 against West Virginia.

Jarred Jones blocked a 3-point attempt by Navy's Zack Fong with 12 seconds left. Jones was fouled, hit both free throws and Loyola snapped a four-game losing streak.

The Greyhounds (6-6) went 18:34 without a field goal from 13:03 in the first half until 14:29 of the second while Navy built an 11-point lead. Loyola rallied to tie, fell behind again by 10 and then tied the game with 11 seconds in regulation on two free throws by Jones.

Thurgood Wood scored 15 points and Brandon Venturini 11 for the Midshipmen (5-7).
