Limited Service Continues For MTA Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Maryland Transit Adminstration announced exapnded service Tuesday, but say they don't believe they will be in normal operation until the week's end.

On Tuesday, Jan. 26, all transit, including Commuter Bus, Light Rail, Local Bus, MARC Train, Metro Subway and Mobility/Paratransit – will operate with expanded service from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"I'm pleased that the MTA was able to provide free trips for all of our passengers today as the city recovered from this historic snowstorm," said MTA Administrator and CEO Paul Comfort. "And, we are happy that through the outstanding efforts of our staff and with the assistance of the City we are able to open dramatically more service tomorrow."
Below is the MTA's schedule for Tuesday, Jan. 26: 
 
Local Bus:
Service now will be available on 24 lines
Continuing service on buses --> 3, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 19, 23, 35, 52, 53, 54 and 64 lines.
Restoring service on buses --> 11, 13, 14, 26, 27, 36, 56, 59, 61 and 91 lines
Local Bus service will not run exactly according to published schedules or timetables, but will operate as close to the published schedule as possible depending on road conditions
Service recovery for Wednesday, Jan. 27, will be determined on Tuesday, Jan. 26
Metro Subway:
Service will operate from Mondawmin Transit Center to Johns Hopkins Hospital
Metro Subway will expand to above-ground service as conditions allow. Service operations for Wednesday, Jan. 27, will be determined on Tuesday, Jan. 26
Light Rail:
Light Rail will operate limited service from North Avenue to Hunt Valley based on track conditions
Service operations for Wednesday, Jan. 27, will be determined on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Mobility/Paratransit:Operating service will begin at 9 a.m.

The Mobility Reservations Department will operate normal hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Customers are asked to clear their steps and walkways of snow and ice to allow MTA Mobility to provide the best and safest possible service to them as they board the Mobility vehicles.
Service operations for Wednesday, Jan. 27, will be determined on Tuesday, Jan. 26
MARC Train:
Penn Line service will operate on a reduced "S" schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 26, with the following early morning cancellations:
Train 401 (4:25 a.m. departure from Penn Station)
Train 400 (5:50 a.m. departure from Union Station)
Train 505 (4:40 a.m. departure from Perryville/5:24 AM departure from Penn Station)
Train 404 (6:35 a.m. departure from Union Station)
Train 446 (6:40 p.m. departure from Union Station)
Penn Line Train 544 (6:23 p.m. departure from Union Station) will hold 17 minutes at Union Station to depart on Train 446's schedule. It will make all stops to Perryville.
On the Brunswick Line, there will be no service to West Virginia or to Frederick. The following trains are the only trains that will operate on Tuesday, Jan. 26:
Train 876 (6:40 a.m. departure from Brunswick)
Train 880 (7:45 a.m. departure from Brunswick)
Train 877 (4:55 p.m. departure from Union Station)
Train 881 (6:20 p.m. departure from Union Station).  This train will terminate in Brunswick.
All trains will make all stops
On the Camden Line, the following trains are the only trains that will operate on Tuesday, Jan. 26:
Train 849 (7:10 a.m. departure from Camden Yards)
Train 856 (5:53 p.m. departure from Union Station)
All trains will make all stops, except Greenbelt where service is suspended

Commuter Bus:Commuter bus will operate on a reduced "S" schedule on all lines, except Route 201 (Gaithersburg-BWI), which will operate on a full weekday schedule

Some stops may be unavailable; so customers should go to the next open stop in the event their stop is closed.
Customers should check with the service provider in the morning for a list of unavailable stops or monitor the MTA e-alerts
The MTA Transit Store will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The state will be on liberal leave on Tuesday, Jan. 26. But, MTA emergency/essential personnel are required to report to work as scheduled.
