Light Rail Accident Reported Downtown
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Light Rail accident is reported downtown.
It happened on North Howard Street when a car collided with a Light Rail train. An MTA bus was stopped at a red light and was struck by the car as well.
Police say it appears the driver of the car tried to get around the bus by moving into the center lane and ran into the vehicle and the Light Rail train.
The driver and passenger of the the car were taken to Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.
One person on the Light Rail and 11 others on the bus also suffered minor injuries.
Light Rail service was briefly disrupted, but has since been restored.
