Leufroy Scores 21, Lehigh Holds Off Mount St. Mary's 85-78

EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Kyle Leufroy scored 21 points, took a charge in the final seconds and Lehigh held off a furious comeback to defeat Mount St. Mary's 85-78 on Saturday.

James Karnik scored 15 for the Mountain Hawks (6-3). Pat Andree added 13 points and Lance Tejada 11.

Lehigh built a 26-point lead but Mount St. Mary's (0-9) sliced that down to five, 73-68, with 2:41 remaining. Leufroy, who was a perfect 12-for-12 shooting at the line, made eight free throws in the final minutes.

The Mountaineers trailed 80-74 when Damian Chong Qui completed a 3-point play with 23 seconds remaining. Chong Qui was driving once again, curling into the paint from the left wing with 14 seconds to go when Leufroy planted his feet and was knocked to the floor. He made both free throws after the charging foul on Chong Qui and that was enough to withstand two late baskets by Mount St. Mary's.

Omar Habwe led the Mountaineers with 24 points. Dee Barnes had 14 and Chong Qui 11.
