Lamar Jackson Suffers Apparent Ankle Injury Against Browns
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Lamar Jackson left Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns with an apparent ankle injury and did not return.
Down 10-0 to Cleveland early in the second quarter, Jackson was flushed out of the pocket and was scrambling away from pressure when Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah fell on his heels. Jackson was slow to get to his feet after the play and hobbled off the field.
Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley took over for Jackson, who was carted to the locker room to be checked out. At first listed as questionable to return, Jackson was later ruled out for the rest of the game.
Losing Jackson is the latest setback for an already injury-plagued Ravens team, which has 17 players on injured reserve and lost top cornerback Marlon Humphrey earlier this week for the season with a pectoral tear.
