Mfume Tests Positive For COVID-19, Says He's Not Experiencing Symptoms

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Rep. Kweisi Mfume on Friday said he tested positive for COVID-19 but is not experiencing any symptoms.

"I am fully vaccinated, boosted, and thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided," he said in a statement. "I am quarantining consistent with CDC guidelines, and I encourage everyone to get vaccinated, boosted, and tested regularly."

Mfume represents Maryland's 7th congressional district, which includes parts of Baltimore City and Baltimore and Howard counties.
