Kennedy Krieger's Festival Of Trees This Weekend
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The holidays are upon us and some of WJZ's anchors and meteorologists are getting into the holiday spirit while helping a great cause.
As a part of WJZ's continuing community commitment, Linh Bui, Marty Bass, Mary Bubala, Jessica Kartalija, Gigi Barnett, Meteorologist Tim Williams, Marcus Washington and Meteorologist Chelsea Ingram created gingerbread houses for Kennedy Krieger's annual Festival of Trees.
The three-day event benefits Kennedy Krieger Institute, which works with children with brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system disorders.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy a winter wonderland of fairyland forests, gingerbread towns and toy train gardens created by 600 local designers, artists, florists, schools, individuals and community groups.
Live entertainment, merchants, crafts, pony and train rides and a Santa visit will be there for enjoyment as well.
The Festival of Trees will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds from Nov. 27 through Nov. 29.
The displays created by WJZ's anchors and reporters will be in the gingerbread towns.
