Jerry Coleman With The Latest From Camden Yards
Jerry Coleman joins Scott and Terry on the Scott Garceau show to talk about the Orioles-Mets series, beginning tonight at 7pm.
A star player for the Orioles makes his return behind the plate tonight, "(Matt Wieters) is back, batting 5th. He will be behind the plate. (He) said he woke up, felt good. The last hurdle was running at a slow jog and that transpired yesterday. He said he'd prefer catching to DH-ing because it keeps him a lot looser."
While excited to get their star catcher back, the Orioles will likely give him some time to recover"I think it's logical to think with three catchers in the roster and this guy (Matt Wieters) coming off a hamstring injury, we wouldn't see him in the lineup as a catcher tomorrow, perhaps as a DH."
Three days ago, the Orioles brought up a LF from the Norfolk Tides, who will make his fourth consecutive start. "Henry (Urrutia) is starting to hit the bat. They like the fact that they like to keep their guys active if they're on the roster. So you're going to see him out there as much as possible, and with David Lough jettisoned they're going to need him as well and if he continues to produce, he'll remain in the lineup like Steve Clevenger."
