Jeremy Conn: Zinno, So Long My Friend...

As many of you have heard, Mark Zinno, has left 105.7 The Fan to Host his own show in Atlanta on 92.9 The Game.

I'm extremely happy for him and at the same time, sad to see him go. I started work at CBS Radio shortly after Zinno and we both cut our teeth in the business at the same time. We often worked together on the weekends, hosting shows together. Initially we both got stuck with the shifts that nobody wanted, but we both just wanted an opportunity to showcase our talents.

I have so many fond memories of being around Mark. Great times at the Super Bowl, watching Braveheart on an endless loop and constantly picking on each other. Probably me giving him the business more than he gave me. There were endless Cheerleader, New York accent and Tight Shirt jokes. Mark is an intelligent, kindhearted, hard working guy. Mark busted his butt in the building, working twice as hard as most of the people, including myself.

I didn't always agree with him, but I owe Mark a lot. Mark missed opportunities at the 105.7 The Fan because he was serving our country overseas. I got the gig with Scott Garceau because Zinno was gone due to his commitments with the National Guard. Mark may not realize it, but he is one of the main reasons I met my wife. He invited me out to join his trivia team at Mad River and have a couple of drinks and that just happened to be the night I met my better half.

Good Luck Mark, You deserve this!!! I hope this is your first stepping stone to a long successful career.
