Jeremy Conn: World Series Prediction
I'm taking the Giants in 6 games.
This Giants team appears to be somewhat of a dynasty. They are battle tested and have the edge over the Royals in my opinion.
The Giants will have an advantage coming to KC because of Michael Morse. They will have a built in power bat to become their DH. That's a luxury that most N.L. teams don't have. They have the best starting pitcher with Bumgarner and he has been lights out on the road. I love the middle of the order as well. With Posey, Pence, Sandoval and Belt, they have a nice mix of power and great plate discipline.
The Royals have a better Bullpen, but the Giants bullpen is very solid. I give the edge in starting pitching and manager to the Giants as well. When the Royals go West, they will lose Billy Butler to serve as a DH, as he will become a glorified pinch hitter. I think the Royals are an excellent team with a ton of speed and the best bullpen in baseball, but i think the mystique and magic runs out.
