14-Year-Old Stabbed Near Inner Harbor After Fight, Police Say

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police are investigating a stabbing near the Inner Harbor Monday evening.

Police said the stabbing happened around 5 p.m. outside the World Trade Center at the Inner Harbor. A 14-year-old boy reportedly got into an altercation with four other teens when they were stabbed in the side.

The teen ran into the Chick-Fil-A in the 400 block of East Pratt Street for help. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. police said.

Police said they believe the group and the 14-year-old knew each other from an earlier incident that happened Monday at an area high school.

Witness Ivan Gillmin said he saw the chaos erupt in a matter of minutes.

"It was hectic," he said. "It was at least 15 squad cars going, they had the mobile unit too and the chopper was in action."

The victim's brother told WJZ off-camera he heard his brother was stabbed multiple times.
