Howard County Company Offers Data Recovery After Flooding

ELKRIDGE, Md. (AP) — A Howard County company is offering free data recovery to Ellicott City businesses affected by last month's flooding.

Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger will visit Atlantic Data Forensics on Tuesday in Elkridge, where the company is located.

Employees are scheduled to demonstrate how they can recover data from a computer destroyed by flooding. The company already has helped a number of businesses recover data from computers whose owners thought was lost.

Nearly six inches of rain fell in a few hours on July 30. The flooding killed two people and devastated the historic district of Ellicott City. Dozens of buildings were damaged.
