House Fire Quickly Spreads In West Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A firefighter is hurt battling a blaze in West Baltimore.

Flames were first reported around 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Clifton Avenue.

Sky Eye Chopper 13 was over the scene, where it appears the fire started in the back of a rowhome. The flames quickly spread to a second house.

One firefighter was injured -- possibly from heat exhaustion -- working to get the blaze under control.

All of the rowhomes affected were vacant. One was on the finishing phases of being rehabbed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
