WATCH | Wild Horses Cool Off In Ocean At Assateague State Park

ASSATEAGUE ISLAND (WJZ) -- Humans weren't the only ones finding ways to beat the extreme heat this weekend!

Video captured by Erin Maiden shows four horses splashing around in the waters around Assateague State Park.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources urges parkgoers to stay around 40 feet away from the animals and says not to feed them.

Around 75 horses call the park home.
