Hit-And-Run Crash In Maryland Leaves Bicycle Rider Dead

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in Capitol Heights.

Police say 56-year-old Donna Holliday Clark of Forestville was killed in the crash. Officers were called to the scene on Ritchie Road in Capitol Heights about 11 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived, they found Clark suffering from critical injuries. Police say she died later at a hospital.

Investigators say it appears Clark was struck from behind as she was riding her bicycle. The suspect vehicle may have been a black or dark color Dodge Charger. Police say the driver left the scene.

Investigators say the car will likely have minor front end damage. Police are asking anyone with information on the case to call the police department.
