Hair-Raising Task: Maryland Targets Texas' Center
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- To keep tabs on Texas-Maryland, look for the 6-foot-7 center whose hair matches the Longhorns' uniforms.
The fifth-seeded Longhorns and No. 4 seed Terrapins meet Tuesday in the second round of the NCAA tournament, and Maryland guard Lexie Brown says one of the team's goals is to get Imani McGee-Stafford into foul trouble.
McGee-Stafford had 20 points and 12 rebounds in the Longhorns' opening win over Penn.
McGee-Stafford says she's flattered by such talk, but she says she's not the only player Maryland should be worried about.
McGee-Stafford is also noticeable because of her hair. She changes its color regularly -- and right now it happens to resemble the Longhorns' burnt orange.
