Groundbreaking To Be Held For New UMd. Building

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for a new building at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The ceremony for A. James Clark Hall is scheduled for Friday.

The new building will offer state-of-the-art laboratories and student project space.

It also will be the new home of the Fischell Department of Bioengineering and the Robert E. Fischell Institute for Biomedical Devices.

It is scheduled to open in 2017.
