Grinch Investigation: Christmas Lights Stolen In Edgemere
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Stealing a little holiday cheer. That's what's happening in one Baltimore County neighborhood.
And the grinches were caught on camera, reports WJZ's Alex DeMetrick.
Mike Jarrard bought Christmas laser lights for his toddler grandson.
"They stole that from him," Jarrard says. "That's what upsets me."
But his motion-activated security camera caught two thieves in the act early Saturday morning.
A third accomplice was driving in the 7700 block of Bayfront Road in the Edgemere area of Baltimore County.
Jarrard checked the video Sunday after visiting a neighbor.
"I walked over into my own yard and I saw the Christmas lights that shin up on the house was gone, and also my neighbor's next door to me," he said.
The thieves appear to be teens, although it's hard to be certain.
Jarrard released the video in the hopes someone might recognize them, or the car, and report it to police.
At the very least a parent might put two and two together and hand out some parental advice.
"Come on people. Is that what you really want to do in life? Steal someone's Christmas lights?"
Baltimore County Police have seen the video and are investigating.
