Gov. Hogan 'Hair BobbleHead' Winner of Bowie Baysox's 'Bobblection'
BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP)—The Bowie Baysox and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan teamed up to raise awareness for cancer on Sunday afternoon.
Hogan was diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma last year. He underwent aggressive treatment over five months. He lost his hair before announcing he was in complete remission in November. His hair is growing back.
During the game, the Baysox held a "Bobblection" where fans chose between two Hogan bobbleheads: a Hogan with hair bobblehead and one without. The bobblehead with hair was the winner.
The team also wore lime green jerseys during the game to spread awareness for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and raise money through an in-game jersey auction.
