Goodell's 2015 Salary Was Over $31 Million

NEW YORK (AP) — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell earned just over $31 million for 2015, the league said on Thursday.

The amount represented a 7 percent decrease from his 2014 salary of approximately $34 million.

The 2015 figure is based on the last tax return filed by the NFL, which will no longer need to be made public since the league changed its status from exempt to taxable.

Goodell became NFL commissioner in 2006.

The NFL's next-highest paid executive was general counsel Jeff Pash at $6.5 million. His salary dropped from $7.5 million in 2014.

Sports Business Daily first reported Goodell's salary details.
