Glenn Younes: Ravens - I Shrug About Suggs

It's not a huge, major deal but enough for me to think and then write about it. Playing through injury. It's admirable to post every game, be ready to battle, etc, etc, but if one can't help the team maybe it's time to get healthy.

I think that's where I'm at with Terrell Suggs.

He's been dealing with a "thigh" injury, which we all think is a groin. Whatever it is, he's clearly not even close to 100%.

It's a contact sport. Injuries happen. Getting healthy is a must, especially early in a season to be ready for the late stretch. What good does a 50% Suggs do? Not much.

Look at the games. He doesn't have the push and speed we are used to seeing from 55. It's not a knock on him. It's an injury.

Congrats for being a warrior but let's get healthy which should yield results not "that-a-boys" for playing with pain.

We can't go back in time but if we could I would have sat Suggs at Indy and maybe again at Tampa this coming week, see what a couple weeks rest does for him.

Just a thought about the long sprint of an NFL season.
