Giant Food Donates $2M Of Toilet Paper, Hand Sanitizer To Local Non-Profits

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The holiday season meant a fresh batch of toilet paper and hand sanitizer donations to the Maryland Food Bank and Johns Hopkins Hospital thanks to Giant Food.

The donations, valued at $2 million, were split between 11 local non-profits.

Along with the supplies, Giant's "Lend a Hand for Hunger" program raised more than $550,000. That money was already distributed to Giant's five food bank partners, including the Maryland Food Bank.
