Gas Prices Down 6 Cents From Last Week
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are down 6 cents from a week ago.
AAA said Sunday that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $2.28, down from $2.34 a week ago. The price is $1.02 cents lower than this time a year ago, when the price was $3.30.
The price of gas in the metro area is a penny below the national average of $2.29.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the District of Columbia alone is $2.52, down 7 cents from a week ago.
