FROM THE VAULT: Garry Marshall Filming 'Runaway Bride' In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Director Garry Marshall passed away Tuesday at the age of 81. He died from complications from pneumonia following a stroke on Tuesday at a hospital in Burbank, California, his publicist confirmed to CBS News.

The prolific writer, director and producer's career spanned several decades in both TV and film, starting with hit sitcoms like "Happy Days" and "The Odd Couple" before Marshall moved onto directing Hollywood films like "Beaches," "Pretty Woman" and "The Other Sister."

Marshall also directed another Julia Roberts-starring film, "Runaway Bride," in Maryland.

In the video above, you can see WJZ's Ron Matz reporting on the Hollywood production coming to Baltimore in January 1999.
