4 Wounded In Separate Shootings In Baltimore City
BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Police are investigating four separate shootings that occurred over the weekend in Baltimore City.
On Sunday night around 11:25 p.m., officers responded to the 1900-block of Bloomingdale Road for a reported shooting. Officers located a 21-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his left forearm. The victim stated that he was walking in the neighborhood when he noticed a large group of males. He then reported that one of the males in the group produced a handgun and fired it in his direction and then fled. The victim was treated for his injuries at a local hospital. Sunday around 6:23 p.m., police responded to a shooting at the unit block of N. Prayson Street. When officers arrived they discovered a 46-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his arm and torso. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries and listed in critical condition. A preliminary investigation revealed that the the victim was on a scooter on the unit block of N. Prayson and 1900 block of W. Fayette streets when an unknown male approached him and fired several rounds before fleeing the scene. Detectives believe that robbery may have been the motive. Early Sunday morning just before 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting at the 6500-block of Eastern Ave. Upon arrival officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim stated that he was attempting to make a night time cash deposit at a bank when two masked men approached him. He was robbed of his cash and shot during the struggle with the masked men. Anyone with more information is asked to call 410-396-2422.
On Saturday just after 10 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital for an adult male who walked in suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim reported that he was shot at the 3600-block of E. Lombard Street by an unknown individual. The victim was treated for his injury and is currently listed in stable condition.
