Former Md. Gov. O'Malley: Saddened By Baltimore's Pain
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Former governor of Maryland and former mayor of Baltimore, Martin O'Malley, is speaking out about the death of Freddie Gray and ongoing riots on the streets of Baltimore.
O'Malley conveyed his empathy toward the escalating situation in a statement on Monday evening:
"I'm saddened that the city I love is in such pain this night. All of us share a profound feeling of grief for Freddie Gray and his family. We must come together as one City to transform this moment of loss and pain into a safer and more just future for all of Baltimore's people."
The former governor also tweeted Monday morning expressing his support for the Gray family.
