2-Alarm Fire Reported At Jessup Distribution Center

JESSUP, Md. (WJZ) -- A fire broke out inside a truck repair shop in Jessup Monday morning.

Howard County Fire and EMS were called to the fire, which broke out in the 7600 block of Assateague Drive around 11:19 a.m. It was under control within the hour.

According to a fire spokesman, when firefighters arrived they saw heavy smoke and called a second alarm as a precaution. A small gasoline fire started in a building where auto repair was done on semi-trucks.
