2 Rescued From de Lazy Lizard Pub Fire In OCMD

OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- Two people were rescued from a blaze at a beloved Ocean City bar Tuesday morning.

According to Ocean City police, a fire call came in around 9:51 a.m. at de Lazy Lizard Brew Pub at 25 N. Philadelphia Avenue.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw fire coming from inside the building. The three-alarm fire took more than two hours to put out.

OCMD Residents were asked to avoid the downtown area near the fire at 1st and Philadelphia.

The Route 50 bridge was shutdown due to smoke, but later reopened.

 Three victims were treated and transported to local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries, including two members of Ocean City's fire department. One other patient was treated and released on scene.
Initial investigations reveal the majority of the fire damage was on the third floor.
The Ocean City Fire Marshal's Office will try to determine the cause of the fire.
