Fire Officials Release Timeline Of Md. Mansion Fire

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County fire officials have released their response times to a massive Annapolis-area mansion fire that killed six members of one family.

Officials say an alarm inside the 16,000-square-foot mansion went off around 3:32 a.m. on Jan. 19, two minutes before a neighbor called to report that "the whole house is on fire."

The first fire crew arrived at the scene around 3:42 a.m., roughly 10 minutes after the first alarm went off.

Investigators say an electrical fire engulfed a 15-foot Christmas tree inside the mansion.

A couple and four of their grandchildren were in the house. Investigators removed the bodies of Don and Sandra Pyle and their grandchildren, sisters Alexis and Kaitlyn Boone, and siblings Charlotte and Wesley Boone, from the wreckage.
