Fire Damages Vacant Baltimore Building By Community Center
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A fire damaged a vacant East Baltimore building next to a community center, officials say.
The fire broke out inside the building in the 800 block of N. Rose St. around 9 p.m. Saturday.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Mayor Catherine Pugh tweeted about the fire Saturday night.
The vacant building next to Rose Street Community Center caught on fire tonight. All community center staff & nearby residents are safe. The Community Center will still open tmrw - the usual morning crew will gather on Monday to meet & clean surrounding sidewalk & streets. pic.twitter.com/IDiG8IP4rE
