Fatal Crash Under Investigation In Glen Burnie
GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- A fatal accident is under investigation in Anne Arundel County.
It happened at Quarterfield and Old Stage roads in Glen Burnie.
According to police, a gold Mustang was driving north on Quarterfield Road when it crossed the center line and struck a black Oldsmobile. Both of those cars where they struck by a green Saturn sedan.
The Oldsmobile's driver, Curtis Dewayne Rutherford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mustang's driver, John Crittenden Hayes IV, was taken to Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries. The Saturn's driver, Beverly Ann Smith, has minor injuries.
Police say excessive speed is to blame.
