Essex MVA Office Expands

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) -- The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration office in Essex is expanding.

State and local officials are scheduled to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.

The MVA says office renovations consist of customer service enhancements like additional counters. There's also an expanded law room for learner's permit testing to provide better customer service. There's also a new 24-hour kiosk that will allow customers to use services when it is convenient for them.

The MVA says the modernization project will enable the office to help up to 200 more customers each day.
