Extended Hours For Howard Co. Disaster Assistance Center

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County is opening a Disaster Assistance Center for residents, business owners and property own impacted by Saturday's flooding on Main Street in Ellicott City.

That's where people can get information about agencies and organization that can offers assistance with recovery.

It's located at the 50+ Center at 9401 Frederick Road in Ellicott City.

It will be open Aug. 2-3 between 2-7 p.m. and between 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Aug. 4-5.

There will be weekend hours for Aug. 6-7 between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The center will also be open between 2-7 p.m. Aug. 8-10 and between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Aug. 11-12.

Representatives from the Howard County government, the state government and nonprofit groups will be on hand to field questions and to help those impacted by the flooding with getting access to needed services.
