ELKTON, Md. (WJZ) -- Three people, including a 7-year-old boy, were shot in Elkton Monday afternoon, leading to an hours-long standoff, police said.
The Elkton Police Department said they got a call about a shooting around 3 p.m. in the area of Cow Lane and Landing Lane in the town of Elkton.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the back, a 31-year-old woman was shot in the foot and a 7-year-old boy was shot in the knee, police said. The man and the boy are in stable condition; the woman refused treatment.
Police said two suspects were believed to have been holed up, leading them to set up two separate perimeters.
After nearly five hours, neighbors told WJZ the saw one man come out of a home on Cow Lane with his hands up and surrender to police. The second suspect has reportedly not been arrested.
The Cecil County Sheriff's Office warned people to avoid the area of Hollingsworth Manor due to "heavy police activity." They gave the all-clear around 10:15 p.m.
The situation shut down the Elkton neighborhood.
"I saw officers run over on that side and they're all full-body armored up with everything like that with their assault rifles," Dan McDerby said.
Another neighbor said he heard a barrage of bullets.
Others were left in shock.
"The kid that got hurt is a real good friend of mine, his mom is a real good friend of mine," Angel Skinner said.
Chopper 13 was over the scene and reported multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Cecil County Sheriff's Office and Maryland State Police, responded.
More information is expected to be released Tuesday.
